A Historical Legacy

The Widford Relief in Need Charity is formally a combination of three separate charities which were set up by generous benefactors in the late Victorian period.

Little Land

One charity was connected with the gift of a small piece of land in Bell Lane.

Cash

One charity was related to a cash gift

The Poors Field

The final charity was linked to 14 acres of agricultural land, known as the Poors Land

Our Trustees are all strongly connected with the village of Widford and are keen to serve the best interests of its residents.
